WILLOWBROOK, Ill. – A man from South Bend, Ind. has been extradited to Illinois to face charges in the attack on a woman in Willowbrook.

Prosecutors say he stabbed and sexually assaulted 26-year-old Melissa Schuster at her home.

Schuster was in her driveway in Willowbrook unloading her car when she says 31-year-old Londale Madison pulled into her driveway.

He asked for money.  She said she didn’t have any and he drove off.

She says after he left, she went inside.  Then he came back asking to use her phone.  Schuster said he forced his way inside her house and beat her, sexually assaulted her and stabbed her 17 times.

Madison was arrested in South Bend last week and was extradited on Friday.

His arraignment is set for Monday, September 28.
