For the first time, food trucks will be allowed to participate in the Taste of Chicago.

The food trucks will provide more options for people attending concerts at the Petrillo Music Shell. Officials say every licensed food truck in the city received an invitation to participate in the Taste.

“The food truck industry continues to build in strength and numbers,” Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a press release, “and my administration is committed to creating the conditions and opportunities that will allow this industry to thrive, create jobs and support a vibrant food culture across Chicago.”

The trucks will accept the same tickets as other booths.
