CHICAGO — Chalk-up another renovated play lot in Chicago. This one is in Edgewater.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Alderman Harry Osterman and park district officials formally opened the D’Elia play lot on Saturday, Oct. 17. It’s one of 77-city playgrounds completed this year.

The mayor began the playground renovation program two years ago. The goal is to rebuild and repair more than 300 playgrounds throughout the city with new slides, swings, climbing equipment and landscaping.
