Ted’s take: Six years ago Mara and Alex made the move to Chicago from Romania and brought with them the recipe for Chimney Cakes. Glad they did! I had no idea what to expect but after making these pastries of perfection, I couldn’t wait to try them. Caramelized baked dough with a crunch and chewy consistency like nothing I’ve had! Try the coconut or the peanut butter with chocolate chips.
