CHICAGO — A Stickney resident accused in a violent home invasion in Beverly that left a man seriously injured is now facing a handful of felony charges.

According to Chicago police, 25-year-old Joey Miller has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, home invasion causing injury, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Authorities say the charges stem from Miller’s alleged role in a home invasion and beating of a 67-year-old man in Chicago in late March.
