Kit Kat’s skirt steak with chimichurri sauce

ALBANY, NY — No you can’t have your steak and eat it too, if a new bill comes into effect.

A New York state lawmaker wants to stop people from using food stamps to buy luxury items like steak and lobster.

The state senator introduced the bill this week that would block the types of products that can be bought with state-issued food stamps, according to the Journal News.

The bill appears to be popular with Republicans in the state senate.

But Democrats control the New York State Assembly, so it doesn’t have much chance to advance.
