A restaurant on the West Side celebrated its 75th anniversary with an appearance by the Stanley Cup, Saturday night.
The Palace Grill is a popular hang out for Chicago Blackhawks fans.
In addition to fans, the restaurant has welcomed many celebrities including Mayor Daley, Oprah, Al Gore, and even a Russian Prime Minister.
It’s owner, George Lamperis, was honored earlier in the day by getting his name up on a Chicago street sign.
Lamperis is a cancer survivor, and says he hopes to be around for the Palace Grill’s centennial anniversary in 2038.
