Every now and then, I reach out to followers on Facebook and Twitter for ideas on places I should visit next. A few weeks ago, more than a few of you recommended I check out the fast casual Indian concept OMango in Aurora.

On tonight’s WGN News at Five, your wish is my command!

OMango is about to celebrate one year in business. It’s similar to other “fast casual” chains – think Panera Bread or Chipotle – where you order at the counter and pick up your food when it’s ready. The menu aims to celebrate the best of Indian cuisine, while trying to keep things as healthy as possible. You won’t find any fryers or heavy cream in their open kitchen, but you will find a few tandoori ovens cooking chicken with all kinds of marinades – mango, tikka, vindaloo, etc.

They offer both chicken and vegetarian wraps, along with more traditional curry platters. They also make their own naan from scratch using those same tandoori ovens. Dishes range between $7-10.

My feature will be posted here after it airs. You can find OMango at…
