LANGHORNE, Pa. — A grocery store chain is banning egg sales to minors this week.

Redner’s Market in Langhorne, Pennsylvania recently posted a sign saying that minors wouldn’t be allowed to buy eggs in their store between October 24 and November 1.

The store is hoping their ban will help stop “eggings” around Halloween.

The company operates dozens of stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

Police in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood have asked businesses to impose a similar ban until November 9.

They say that eggs can do “significant damage” by hurting paint, staining brick and sticking to windows.
