Several people have been displaced after a patio collapsed in the West Town neighborhood.

It happened in the 1400 block of West Chicago around 1 a.m. Friday.

The entire concrete section between two apartment buildings fell 10 feet into the basement.

Nobody was on the patio when it collapsed, but three people had to be rescued by emergency responders.

Authorities are not sure what caused the collapse.

A building inspector has been called out to look at the damage.
