Single mother of two Dominique Martucci bought Naper Nuts and Sweets in 2001. Following the events of September 11th Dominique found herself searching for a way to give back to the men and women serving our country. Operation Caramel Corn was born.

Dominique cooks, bags, and ships homemade caramel corn to deployed troops all over the globe. Her tireless efforts have impacted thousands of lives, and for that she has amassed a warehouse full of letters, pictures, mementos from gracious service people.

One of the first to receive and share Dominique’s caramel corn was Naval Commander Michael Jelinek. A Naperville native, Jelinek has since met Dominique in person to express his gratitude for her small, but vital, reminder of home.
